How do I get the best color results?

Match your current hair color to one of the shades shown on the back of the hair color carton under FOR BEST COLOR RESULTS. Please note that ColorSilk Tone + Gloss + Care™ is NOT recommended for hair with more than 60% grays, heavily highlighted, or bleached hair. Results will vary depending on the condition of hair and current hair color.

If my hair is highlighted or bleached, can I use ColorSilk Tone + Gloss + Care™?

This product is not recommended for heavily highlighted or bleached hair.

What shade is recommended for light hair bases?

For current hair color that is medium blonde to light brown, shade 7 Dark Blonde is recommended.

For current hair color that is dark blonde to medium brown, shades 6 Light Brown or 6G Light Golden Brown are recommended.

What shade is recommended for dark hair bases?

For current hair color that is light brown to dark brown, shades 5 Medium Brown, 5A Medium Ash Brown, or 5RR Medium Red are recommended. For current hair color that is medium brown to black, shades 1 Black, 3 Brown Black, 4 Dark Brown, or 4RV Burgundy are recommended.

How to Use Demi-Permanent Hair Color

Step 1: Mix

Put on coloring gloves and pour the ammonia-free colorant into the developer bottle. Point the bottle away from your face and shake vigorously to mix.

Step 2: Apply

Apply mixture to the root area and work your way through the mid-lengths to ends to ensure full saturation. Leave on mixture for 20 minutes.

Step 3: Shampoo + Condition

Rinse hair thoroughly with warm water and apply your regular shampoo. Apply entire contents of the After-Color Conditioner evenly to your hair. Leave on for 2 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Step 4: Treat with Leave In Scalp & Hair Serum

Apply by pouring some of the product onto the fingertips and massaging into the scalp. Apply the remaining product through the lengths of the hair to the ends. Do not rinse. Dry your hair and style as usual.
